Week 4 Fitness Diary

Thursday 08 Feb
Run 3 x mins Walk 1.5 mins
Run 5 x mins walk 2.5 mins
Run 3 x mins Walk 1.5 mins
Run 5 x mins walk 2.5 mins
Cool Down and Walk for 5 mins
Total Running time = 16 minutes

The run was slightly easier today compared to Tuesday. This was probably because I knew how long 5 minutes would be and my back was feeling a lot better. It amazes me how great you feel once you have finished a run and how good you feel for the rest of the day. I must remember this feeling to motivate me when I am less inclined to run.

This run was quite a step up from last weeks programmed run. Last week I was running a total of 9 minutes with the longest run being for 3 minutes so this one was a bit of a shock to the system. The first 5 minute run was a killer but by the time I had completed the first half I had warmed up and it became slighty easier. Once I had completed the run I felt amazing and so pleased that I had completed it. I was also still suffering with terrible back ache and so was very wary of how I was running.
